How much does it cost to store with us and what size do I need?

The price you pay is determined by the size of the room you need. That’s why our commitment to you is that we will get you into the smallest space possible. As the rental charge is calculated according to the floor area of the storage room, the smaller the floor area the less you end up paying.

Estimating the space you need isn’t as simple and straightforward as it looks. It depends on:

– What you need to store
– How stackable it is
– How high the ceiling of the storage room is

We can advise you on how to stack your goods and possessions to make maximum use of the space.

In the meantime, if you would like to get a rough idea of how much space you might need, you can give us a call.
How high are your storage rooms?

Depending upon the store you choose the rooms range from 7 to 9 ft in height.
What do I need to open a contract?

Two forms of ID are required one of which must be a photo ID (passport or driving licence) and a utility bill less than 3 months old. Payment of the first invoice must be made prior to moving in. Please check with the store team for further details.
How quickly can I move in?

You can move in on the same day as you make your enquiry (during office opening hours) providing that you have the relevant documentation needed to complete and sign your contract. Do I need my own padlock?

Yes, you need your own padlock to ensure that you are the sole key holder for your room and to ensure that your room is securely locked at all times. We stock a full range of  padlocks in all of our stores if needed.
Do I need insurance?

Yes, your goods must be insured whilst in storage. We offer a tailored insurance according to your needs. Please ask your store team for more details.

Do you offer discounts for armed forces?

Armed Forces Personnel receive 20% discount for the duration of their stay at any of our stores. A valid Forces ID card must be shown.
Do you offer discounts for Public service workers?

Public service workers receive 20% discount for the duration of their stay at any of our stores. A valid ID card must be shown. Public service workers include Council, Police, Fire Brigade, Teachers and NHS, Please check with your local store if we have not mentioned you profession here.
How often can I have access to my goods?

7 days a week, during store opening hours. 24 hour access is available at an additional cost, please ask a member of the team for details.
How do I get my goods to you?

You have to bring your belongings to the storage centre. All our centres have ample car parking and large loading/unloading areas. We do offer a free van and driver service, please check with the store for terms and conditions .
What if I have booked and my plans are delayed?

That is no problem just let us know about the changes and we will extend your booking.
What kind of security is in stores?

We take the security of your goods and possessions extremely seriously. To protect them all our centres have staffed receptions, sophisticated alarm systems and 24hr CCTV surveillance. Also, you are the only one with access to your room, which is locked with a padlock owned by you.

Do you offer any discounts?

Yes, we normally offer a range of discounts; pre-payment discount; discount for students; NHS discount, and any other public service worker with valid ID. However, the offers may change store by store, You can call the storage centre to find out the best deal for you.
Do I pay weekly or monthly?

We’ll invoice you on a four weekly basis, payable in advance. However, we only ask for fourteen days notice when you vacate your room and we refund to you any unused storage charges.
What kind of payment methods are available?

Most of our customers choose to pay by standing order. However, we also accept credit and debit cards, cheques and cash.
How long can I stay?

You are welcome to stay as long as you require.
Can I transfer to another room if I need more or less space?

You can easily move to another size room at any time, depending on your storage requirements and the availability of other room sizes in the store.
Do you have trolleys or fork lifts available?

All stores have trolleys and pallet trucks available free of charge for customers use.
Do you offer storage for business?

Yes, we offer flexible contracts for short or long term Self Storage. There is no minimum stay.
What if I want to move my stuff out?

We only ask for fourteen days written notice before you vacate your room and we refund to you any unused storage charges.
Why do I have to give written notice?

As you are not tied into a long term contract we ask that you give two weeks written notice. Also if you needed help vacating we could arrange a man with a van for you with a cost.  Also if there was a customer waiting for a unit we could let them know one may be coming up.
What happens if  I gave notice but my circumstances change and I need the storage unit longer?

We will always send you a new invoice 2 weeks prior to you current invoice running out even if you have given notice all you have to do is call the store and pay your next invoice and advise us that you need to keep your unit for longer.
Can I change the storage centre?

You can move to another one of our storage centres as you wish subject to availability. Remember you will be responsible for moving your own items from one centre to another.

What are the terms and conditions of your referral offer?

We offer a great referral deal of up to £75 in Marks & Spencer vouchers but please note

  • you must already be on our database
  • all units must be rented for a minimum period of four weeks
  • this offer does not apply to lockers, mail boxes or units smaller than 25 sq ft
  • referrals made for customers living at the same address or customers storing referrer’s goods are excluded
  • value of voucher is based on length referred customers stay

4-27 weeks stay:      £25.00

28-51 weeks stay:    £50.00

52 weeks plus stay:  £75.00
